YOUR SUPPORT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Burns Canyon Road (2N02) runs between Pioneertown and Big Bear, traveling through the San Bernardino National Forest and serves as the only access route for residents, emergency vehicles, and fire crews in the area.

Approx 8 miles of this nearly 20-mile road crosses both public and private land that is not maintained by the county or any public agency. The property owners and residents maintain 100% of this road; the county does not maintain this area and yet it is the most used section of the road, overlapping resident and recreational traffic, with maintenance and repairs funded directly by community donations through the Burns Canyon Road Fund Inc. Your contributions pay for road work including grading, erosion repair, drainage improvements, rock removal, and repairs caused by weather and vehicle traffic.

The cost to maintain this road is significant. Other than generous contributions from supporters, the responsibility falls entirely on the landowners in this area. With the rapid increase in recreational traffic, keeping the road safe and passable has become an ongoing challenge.

If you use Burns Canyon Road or care about preserving access to it, please consider supporting the community that maintains it.

We appreciate your contribution!
